I had the pleasure of enjoying a Danish treat Smørrebrød. It is basically rye bread with many different toppings. The fish or meat is the first layer followed by layers of veggies topped with cheese.
Torvehallerne Copenhagen
You can’t miss this market in Copenhagen. The market is full of life and great food. There is an assortment of fish, cheese, chocolates, fresh veggies and fruits, and even a whiskey bar.
Danish traditional meal “FLÆSKESTEG”
This Danish tradition is basically a pork roast with a thick pork rind left on the roast. You cut thick grooves into the fat but not down to the meat. You add coarse salt in between the grooves and cook horizontally in the oven.
Freezing Cold in Copenhagen
if you travel to Copenhagen in February or March take warm clothing. Gloves and hats are essential as the cold wind is biting. As my son states if you think you are overdressed add a layer.
Hockey in Rodovre
